Junk Truck, Van and SUV Removal

Do you remove junk trucks and vans as well as cars?

Yes. H&H Cash for Junk Cars Chicago removes junk pickup trucks, work vans, minivans and SUVs, running or not, from Riverdale and the surrounding south suburbs and Chicago neighborhoods. The tow is free whatever the size, and you're paid by cash, Zelle or Cash App when the vehicle is loaded.

Or call(708) 901-0454from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., any day

Bigger vehicles, same deal

Trucks, vans and SUVs end up junked for the same reasons cars do: a blown engine, rust, a crash, or years of sitting. The difference is size and weight, and in this area, the parking rules that apply to bigger vehicles. The tow is still free and you’re still paid at pickup.

We take:

  • pickup trucks, from compact to full-size, including old work trucks,
  • cargo and work vans, with or without shelving,
  • minivans, including ones with sliding doors that no longer close,
  • SUVs, two-wheel or four-wheel drive.

Why local rules hit trucks harder

Several villages around our lot treat trucks and vans more strictly than cars when they’re parked on the street:

  • Phoenix keeps trucks, trailers and similar vehicles off residential streets beyond loading time, and violators may be towed. See Phoenix.
  • Merrionette Park bars second-division vehicles over 5,000 pounds from parking on streets beyond loading time. See Merrionette Park.
  • Riverdale bars vehicles with Illinois plates above Class B from listed residential streets between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
  • South Holland won’t let oversize vehicles be stored in front of the house’s living area.

A dead work truck at the curb can become a ticket or a tow faster than a dead sedan. If that’s your situation, call early; we can often come the same day. Our guide to same-day junk car removal explains what helps.

What to tell us about the vehicle

Detail Why it matters
Two-wheel or four-wheel drive Changes how the vehicle should be lifted
Whether it shifts into neutral Decides whether it can roll onto the truck
Dual rear wheels or a long bed Affects the hookup
Anything mounted: plow, rack, shelving So nobody is surprised at the curb
Where it’s parked Driveway, side lot, alley or street

Our explainer on flatbed and wheel-lift towing covers why drive type matters.

Clear it out first

Work vehicles collect things. Before pickup, take out tools, ladders, equipment and paperwork, and remove any business decals you don’t want driving off on the truck. Take the license plates off; in Illinois they stay with you. Pull the toll transponder from the windshield.

Papers and payment

With a title, you sign it over at the truck. Without one, tell us what you have; Illinois rules decide which papers work for a scrap sale, so we’ll confirm before driving out. Our no-title page explains how that conversation goes. You’re paid at the truck by cash, Zelle or Cash App.

A truck that simply won’t start falls under non-running vehicle removal, and one that’s been stripped or burned under scrap car removal. Anything bigger than a pickup or a cargo van, such as a box truck, a dump truck or a semi tractor, has its own page: box truck and semi truck removal.

Questions about this

Do you take a work van with shelving or tools still inside?

Yes, but take out everything you want to keep before pickup, including tools, ladders and anything bolted in that has value to you. What's left in the van goes with it.

Can you take several vehicles from one property?

Yes. One visit can take more than one vehicle. Tell us how many and what they are when you call.

Is a four-wheel-drive truck harder to tow?

It can need a different hookup. Tell us whether it's two-wheel or four-wheel drive and whether it shifts into neutral, and we'll plan the tow around it.
